Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Half English and half Spanish her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descent. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings. One of them is from each of her parents' previous marriages. After being with her parents in Buenos Aires for six years The family moved to Victoria. Taylor-Joy says the move to London was traumatic and that she didn't learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the moved from Northlands. Later she attended Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. When she was 16, she quit school in order to take on acting as a profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy had a dream to become an actress and her dream came true when she was offered an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
